Did you know that the French government was going to build a giant elephant with a luxury lounge inside at largest public square in Paris? Fortunately, a last minute decision was made in favour of the Arc de Triomphe instead, commissioned by Napoleon, who in fact never seen its completion.
The eternal flame burning inside the arch was lit almost 100 years ago, and has not been extinguished since. The Arc de Triomphe, representing peace and its design based on ancient Roman architecture, remains the second largest Triumphal Arch in the world today.
