As his latest panoramic view goes on show this month in his London gallery, he tells David Ferrarotto why New York is his spiritual home. He took just six days to complete a 20-foot panoramic view of New York City, which he memorised from only a 20-minute helicopter ride over Manhattan. (February 10)

One special student was the autistic Stephen Wiltshire, who as a child showed prodigious ability as a draughtsman. Stephen`s phenomenal visual memory was demonstrated in 1991 when he produced a perfect front elevation of St Paul`s Cathedral, not having seen it for nine years. Studying with Buhler, Wiltshire gained a degree and worked in the City and Guilds print room. (February 10)
